Camp IHC, Equinunk, PA

Camp IHC receives consistently excellent reviews from its employees. [WanderJobs-approved]

Camp IHC sits on a private 35-acre spring-fed lake in woods in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. Each summer, over 650 campers (co-ed, aged 7-16) and 450 staff join us for a spectacular adventure at one of the most dynamic summer camps in the country.

Camp IHC is looking for high energy, creative staff who love working with young people. Whether your skills are in traditional sports (basketball, baseball, tennis), outdoor adventure (rock climbing, challenge course, mountain biking), aquatics (boating, water skiing, swim instruction), or creative arts (media, theater, arts & crafts) – we may have a job for you, and you can get paid to do what you love!

Camp IHC’s programming includes not only daily activities, but also grand traditions. We’ve been here since 1940, and we have incorporated many traditions into the camp experience. Our Friday Night Campfire brings our entire camp of over 1,000 together around the fire. We also have spirit flagpole, birthday celebrations, and highly anticipated camp-wide events like Olympics & Survivor.

Our facilities include an adventure course, yoga & dance studio, music recording studio, sports complex, tennis academy, fitness center, heated pool, waterfront, and more. There is a place for everyone here, staff and campers alike. Children need a safe place to explore into the experience of being themselves, and as counselors, your job is to create a nurturing, safe, and fun environment for them to do so.

Our program has over 40 activity areas that are commonly known as the 4 A’s – Adventure, Athletics, Arts & Aquatics. These core areas each have their own specialized programs and have a variety of different roles in each area. Alongside all the major camp events, these programs help make a diverse, fun and exciting summer possible year after year.

At Camp IHC, we remove the distraction of technology, cell phones, and the internet for seven weeks. The IHC community is one where children and adults respect each other and the environment in which we live. (You can visit the Mocha coffee lounge to access internet in your time off).

There are four things that make camp life at IHC the best in the summer camp industry: The staff, the campers, the facilities, and the programs. By bringing all that together, every summer we help raise happy children, and you can have one of the most rewarding summers of your life. Please reach out if you would like to join the Camp IHC family this summer!

Take it from our staff:

I’ve proudly worked at Camp IHC for the past two summers. Before joining this camp I gained 5+ years of experience working at and visiting various other summer camps around the country.

There’s a clear reason that IHC is the front runner in the summer camp world. There’s a dedicated leadership working hard each day that cares about every detail. They look for the strongest staff members for each area, understand and know each and every camper needs. Investments are made in staff training, camper experience, and facilities year on year.

There are very few, if any, camps that can maintain this level of care and commitment summer on summer.
