Welcome to Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge, Alta’s original ski-in, ski-out lodge and home base for deep powder days and laid-back mountain living.

We’re now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 winter season. Tucked at the base of the Alta Ski Area in Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon, Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge has been welcoming skiers since 1962. We’re known for our cozy, unpretentious atmosphere, nourishing meals, and unbeatable access to some of the best skiing in North America. Life here is centered around snow — the dry, fluffy, abundant kind that has made Alta legendary.

Working at Goldminer’s Daughter means joining a close-knit seasonal team that comes together from all over the country to live, work, and ski in one of the most beautiful alpine environments in the world. Our staff becomes part of the lodge’s living history — a community of passionate people who believe in hard work, shared meals, and the simple joy of waking up with the mountains right outside the window.

The lodge offers comfortable guest rooms, hearty family-style meals, a café and ski shop, and a warm communal vibe that brings returning guests back year after year. We pride ourselves on our hospitality, and we aim to create an experience that’s as memorable for our guests as it is for the people who make it run.

You’ll be living just steps from the lifts, with a free Alta season pass and all the powder you can handle. Life here is simple but rich: think shared housing, snowy sunrises, ski breaks on storm days, and long conversations over warm meals.
