Life is bigger at Big Sky Resort. Located in the Greater Yellowstone Region of Southwest Montana, Big Sky is both a winter and summer destination for outdoor sports. Each summer we have about 800 employees, but the mountain really comes to life in winter, with about 1800 staff helping to make the busy ski season possible!

Big Sky Resort is surrounded by millions of acres of National Forest, National Park, and Wilderness lands. It is the perfect basecamp for exploring the surrounding mountains, or just hitting the slopes on a powder day. The nearest big town, Bozeman, is about 50 miles from Big Sky. This mid-size college town has major shopping centers, restaurants, and a great downtown area to explore.

Our guest facilities are extensive and we have many, many different types of jobs, so there is something for everyone! Whether you want to jump right into the active ski life as an instructor, to be indoors and interacting with guests, or keeping the place looking clean and welcoming, you’ll find it here.

Big Sky offers lodging, zipline and snowshoe tours, skiing and snowboarding, golf, biking, guided hikes, dining, shopping, live music, a spa, and more to our guests. There is a little bit of everything at this home away from home and we have visitors from all over the world.

This year, we’re excited to debut our new Swift Current 6: the fastest 6-person chairlift in North America! The “Swifty” features heated seats, Big Sky Blue Bubbles, and whisper quiet D-Line technology. Come have a seat with us.

I am really enjoying my time here at Big Sky. Due to last years covid outbreak I have heard that this winter season is not typical. My bosses In Shoshone were amazing and are the best I’ve ever had and I just turned 30! They are so attentive and make you feel appreciated every day. The morning meetings are a great way to start the day. We work independently but if one of us needs help with rooms there are always coworkers there to the rescue! I love the resort and would recommend to anyone.
