West Yellowstone is a gateway community located adjacent to the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It has the character of a small Montana town with a year-round population of approximately 1,000 people. With over 3.5 million visitors each year, West Yellowstone has many of the amenities you would expect in a much larger community. There are many choices in restaurants and cafes and two well stocked grocery stores. For fun there is the wonderful playhouse theater, IMAX theater and museum. Public services include a library, post office, banks, veterinary and a health clinic. West Yellowstone is approximately 100 miles from both Bozeman, Montana to the north and Idaho Falls, Idaho to the south.
