Ludlow’s Island Resort is a luxury wilderness resort across three islands and three shores of Lake Vermilion, a 40,000-acre lake in the northwoods of Minnesota. The lake borders the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, a pristine protected wilderness environment that draws outdoor enthusiasts for fishing, portaging, and lake activities all summer, as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during the magical snowy winters.

Ludlow’s Island Resort hosts 80-130 guests at a time. We offer our guests a fun and peaceful family-style retreat away from the hustle and bustle, where they can relax and reconnect with nature. We have 23 beautiful handcrafted cabins and a wide variety of amenities, including a spa, lake activities, boating, fishing, tennis and basketball courts, and more.

Our staff enjoy the benefits of living in this renewing wilderness environment. Our team includes enthusiastic customer service workers from all over the country who come here to connect with both people and the outdoors. We pay a weekly salary, and the majority of the wages come from guest gratuities.

During your stay, you might come across some of the local wildlife: moose, beavers, deer, eagles, foxes, and even lynx. During your time off, you can enjoy the small town-vibe of the area and relax on the lake, hike, do arts activities, or spend time with coworkers.
