Each summer, Easterseals of Western & Central Pennsylvania serves children and adults with disabilities and special needs, as well as children of military families, in a socially engaging, relaxed, and fun environment.
Counselors lead campers and participate in varied camp activities, including arts and crafts, games, field trips, quiet spaces, and educational experiences. We make sure our campers feel safe and supported!
As a camp counselor, you will join a team of people who deeply care about the well-being of our campers. You will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks that directly involve campers, and also, for having fun with the campers!
We encourage staff to participate in activities with campers. They can experience ziplines, fishing, swimming, hiking, hands on nature presentations, water studies, kayaking, slip ‘n slides, rock wall climbing, crafts, and a lot of games.
Our season runs from April to November, offering 12 camps in that time frame. We run 3 camps each season (June, July, and August) of 5 days each (Sunday to Thursday). Counselors have the opportunity for work in the spring and fall as well. The position can be considered full time if counselors work multiple camps.
We are able to offer our camp counselors lodging during their weekend shifts, however, counselors will be responsible for finding their own housing locally. This is a unique situation and could be perfect for an individual looking to add a fun, wholesome part-time job into a flexible schedule.

Meals: We serve 3 hot meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) plus a variety of snacks and s’mores at night. There’s always coffee! We also have access to a fridge and microwave, so counselors are welcome to bring their own snacks.
Housing: *Lodging is provided only during shifts.* We sleep in cabins with our campers at night. Cabins have heat and AC, mattresses, electricity, bathrooms with a sink, shower, and a flush toilet. Most of the cabins have wifi access as well. Ideal candidates will live/find housing locally for time off-shift or be enjoying the van or RV lifestyle and commute to camp.

Positions:
- Camp Counselors (Stipends for weekend camps start at $200. Stipend for week-long camps start at $400.00. Pay increases for counselors who work more than 3 camps.)
