Camp Summit is a residential or “sleep away” camp for children and adults with disabilities. With weeklong camp sessions, weekend sessions and respite days, campers are offered a wide variety of traditional camp activities in our barrier-free environment.
Camp Summit is located in Paradise, Texas, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex on 460 beautiful acres. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed as a Youth Camp in the State of Texas.
At Camp Summit, we focus on our campers’ abilities, rather than their disabilities. All activities are adapted so that everyone can participate. With our specialized equipment and trained, caring staff, our campers can enjoy a truly barrier-free camp experience with traditional camp activities like horseback riding, archery, swimming, ropes course, arts & crafts, sports & games, and much more.
Camp Summit is hiring seasonal staff and many of our staff are college students pursuing fields of human interest. We also work with international agencies to recruit personnel from all over the world.
