Camphill Association of North America is a group of life sharing communities for people of various ages with intellectual disabilities to live, work, learn, and play alongside resident volunteers like you. Hundreds of residents call our beautiful communities home.
Camphill communities are home to people of multiple generations, spending intentional time together and taking life at a slower pace. Here, we focus on the important things: we farm together, cook and bake, share meals, create crafts, play, and go to school. Members of our communities are kind, beautiful souls who savor life and form close friendships with one another.
During your time as a volunteer, you will be an important member of the community. On any given day, you may help guide residents with household activities and vocational training, assist teachers in afternoon coursework in music, arts, movement, drama, participate in farm work, or contribute to the many special events that make Camphill such a vibrant, joyful community.
We welcome your interest in our communities!

Take it from our staff:
Camphill has definitely expanded my skills far beyond just farming. I got to learn how to lead a group of volunteers, how to best explain a task, how to keep people motivated and how to meet people where they are at.
Volunteer, 2018, Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, PA
They are here for the students and make sure the child is the first priority by giving all staff the support they need to do a great job and learn a lot! At first it’s a huge adjustment, but after a couple months you feel like family and everyone jokes around and cares about one another. This is unlike any other place I have ever worked!
