Bethel Horizons Camp & Retreat Center, Dodgeville, WI

Bethel Horizons was founded on the belief that everyone thrives when living in harmony with God, Self, Others, and Nature.

Located on 548 acres in Wisconsin’s beautiful Driftless Area, Horizons hosts a wide variety of people through five program areas. We are a summer camp and a retreat center with full food service and meeting spaces, offer adventure and environmental educational programs for visiting groups and student field trips, and encourage creative expression through our art campus.

Guests can enjoy a pottery class, hike on over 7 miles of trails to one of our beautiful cliffs, ride our exhilarating mountain bike trails, and challenge themselves to rock climb, rappel, or navigate our High Ropes Course.

Adamah Art Studios of Bethel Horizons is a fine arts education campus offering immersive, all-inclusive workshops and seminars with nationally recognized instructors annually. Adamah specializes in ceramics and other creative mediums in our fully equipped ceramics and brand-new multimedia studios.

In addition to our three retreat buildings, guests can stay in our cabins, rent one of our charming houses or experience the full beauty of our property in our tent and trailer campground. Surrounded by Governor Dodge State Park, we are right in the heart of nature: the Driftless Area has a unique blend of cliffs, forests, valleys, and prairies to explore.

We hire for both year-round and summer positions.

Take it from our staff:

Great summer camp with amazing staff! Working at Bethel Horizons was great experience. With this being my first camp experience, all of the staff were incredibly helpful and supportive of anything going on. As the summer went by, I learned about how to properly plan out schedules weekly, different ways to approach facilitating activities, and what it takes to manage a large group consisting of children varying in age.

Program Coordinator, 2018

It was life-changing for me to be with people who were so comfortable outdoors at Horizons. It was the first time I understood God’s spirit, particularly through the lens of nature. All of these things came differently to me because of where we were. Not in a college classroom or in the city.

Pam Shellberg, Board of Directors 2023
