Sunset Lodge is a family owned resort located in a very unique part of the country. Our remote location provides us with a truly remote experience for our guests & employees. In order to drive to us, you must cross through Canada and drop back down into Minnesota. You are then picked up there via boat and brought 5 miles over to us on Oak Island! Our employees enjoying fishing during the summer and winter seasons. We have a great family atmosphere and we also enjoy bonfires, camping, hanging out on the deck watching the sunset over Sunset Bay, playing horseshoes, visiting neighboring islands, etc.
Sunset Lodge employs between 10-15 staff members during both winter and summer seasons. Our island is accessible via ice road and groomed snowmobile trail in the winter with an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a remote and pristine environment.
