Ross Lake Resort is a dream of remote wilderness lodging come to life. In the heart of the North Cascades Wilderness, our cabins and buildings float right on the lake; it is a fishing resort created from the remains of a floating camp used by crews of workers logging the valley as it was flooded in 1952.
Living and working at Ross Lake Resort is a magical opportunity for those who are adventurous, motivated, get along well with others, and who appreciate the tranquility that comes with living in the North Cascades National Park/Recreation Area. If you enjoy backcountry camping, hiking among dense evergreen forests, boating and fishing, or just enjoying your alone time in nature, Ross Lake Resort is a wonderful place to call home.
Our lifestyle here is very secluded. There is no road access to the lake so our employees hike in and out for their workweek. Employees stay on-site five days a week and have a two-day weekend (not necessarily weekend days) to go out and get shopping items and enjoy personal time. Because there is no store nearby, everyone brings in all their own groceries and any supplies that are needed for their workdays.
We are always looking for rockstars to join our team. Our business consists of 15 rental cabins and a fleet of rental equipment including motorboats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. We are here to help the public enjoy the National Park and its backcountry as much as we do!
The positions are full-time (40 hours a week) with overtime possibilities. Pay starts at $15.50 plus tips. Increases are dependent on position and experience. Our season runs from mid-June to October 31st, and we keep most of our staff on into November to get everything closed up.
Our floating buildings require constant attention as the lake level fluctuates throughout the fall, winter, and spring. We typically keep a skeleton crew of three or four to shovel snow, adjust cables, build wooden boats and generally keep an eye on things.
If you feel called to join our team, please send an application!
