Absaroka Mountain Lodge is a small, family owned and operated resort located 12 miles outside the East entrance of Yellowstone and 39 miles west of Cody, Wy. on the Northfork corridor that Teddy Roosevelt once called “The Most Scenic Highway in America.”
Absaroka Mountain Lodge has 15 log cabins and a small restaurant. We offer horseback rides, nightly campfires and tranquility along the banks of gorgeous Gunbarrel Creek. At Absaroka Mountain Lodge, we work hard and play hard. If you like to hike, there are endless opportunities to explore the hundreds of trails in and around Yellowstone. If fishing is your thing, we have a creek that is known for its Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout, and the vast Yellowstone River beckons just steps away from the Lodge. The opportunity for wildlife viewing is around every corner–and sometimes right out your front door! It is not uncommon to see grizzly bears, black bears, deer, big horn sheep, bison, fox, moose or even mountain goats come strolling through our complex. After all, we do live and work in their backyard. Your adventure awaits!
